Genexia Health Hormone Replacement Therapy

What is hormone imbalance and how can hormone replacement therapy help

What is Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is a treatment designed to restore balance when your body’s natural hormone levels decline or fluctuate. Our licensed nurse practitioners offer virtual consultations to assess your symptoms and recommend a personalized treatment plan, helping you feel more energized, focused, and like yourself again.

Why Consider HRT?

Hormonal imbalances can affect nearly every part of your life. From your sleep and mood to your metabolism and libido. If you’ve been feeling “off” and can’t pinpoint why, HRT may be the solution.

Common reasons to consider HRT:

  • Hot flashes, night sweats, or trouble sleeping
  • Low energy or decreased libido
  • Weight gain or loss of muscle tone
  • Mood swings, irritability, or brain fog
  • Fatigue or reduced motivation

Benefits of HRT

When your hormones are balanced, your body and mind can function at their best.

Many patients report:

  • Better sleep and improved mood
  • Increased energy and focus
  • Reduced hot flashes and night sweats
  • Improved libido and sexual function
  • Easier weight management and muscle tone maintenance

Who Can Benefit?

HRT is suitable for both women and men experiencing symptoms related to hormonal changes.

  • Women: Menopause, perimenopause, irregular cycles, or post hysterectomy symptoms
  • Men: Low testosterone, fatigue, loss of strength, or decreased libido

Your provider will help determine if HRT is the right approach based on your symptoms, lab results, and overall health.

Getting Started with Hormone Therapy

Step 1 - Complete our Questionnaire

Once your file is created (if you don't already have one with us), you’ll receive a questionnaire to complete. After it’s submitted, our team will review your information and contact you to schedule your first virtual consultation (approximately 45 minutes).

Step 2 - Initial Virtual Appointment

During your first consultation, the nurse practitioner will review your medical history, menstrual cycle (even if you no longer have one), symptoms, and how you’ve been feeling overall.

Step 3 — Hormone Testing

To personalize your treatment, your provider will ask you to complete blood work specific to your needs.

Blood tests are essential because they:

  • Measure your actual hormone levels, such as estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid hormones, and cortisol.
  • Help rule out other possible causes of your symptoms, like thyroid disorders or nutritional deficiencies.
  • Provide a baseline so your provider can track how your body responds to treatment and adjust your plan safely.

Testing ensures that your hormone therapy is safe, precise, and tailored to your body, avoiding guesswork or one size fits all approaches.

Step 4 — Follow Up Consultation & Treatment Plan

Once your results are ready, you’ll have a second virtual appointment to review your lab findings and, if appropriate, receive a personalized prescription plan for hormone replacement therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hormone Replacement Therapy

Please reach us at info@genexiahealth.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Everyone responds differently, but most people begin to notice improvements such as better sleep, mood, and energy within a few weeks. Physical changes like improved muscle tone or libido may take a few months. Your provider will monitor your progress and adjust your plan as needed

Yes. Blood tests are essential to measure your current hormone levels and rule out other possible causes of your symptoms. This allows your nurse practitioner to create a treatment plan that is personalized, safe, and tailored specifically to your body.

No. Both men and women can experience hormone imbalances. For women, HRT can help relieve menopausal or perimenopausal symptoms. For men, it can improve low testosterone, fatigue, or decreased libido. Your treatment will be customized based on your unique hormone profile.

All consultations are done virtually. If blood work is required, and you are located in Montreal or surrounding areas, our mobile nurses can come to your home for collection. You will receive expert medical care and ongoing support without leaving the comfort of your home.

We provide detailed receipts for all consultations and services, which you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Coverage varies depending on your plan, so we recommend checking directly with your insurance company to confirm eligibility.
