What Happens Next?
- If Your Test is Positive (Age 2 to Adult): Take your positive results to your local pharmacy. Not all pharmacists have prescribing rights, but don't worry—if your pharmacy cannot offer this, we will direct you to a pharmacy in our area that we know can prescribe antibiotics, getting you on the path to recovery quickly.
- If Your Test is Positive (Under Age 2): The rules for toddlers are more specific. If you don't have access to a doctor, The simplest, most guaranteed path to treatment is a virtual consultation with our Nurse Practitioner. They can assess your child and send a prescription directly to your pharmacy for an additional fee.
- If Your Test is Negative (But You Still Have Symptoms): Our Nurse Practitioner can provide a consultation to order a throat culture for further analysis.
Throat Cultures
In addition to the rapid test, we also offer strep cultures.
- Already have a doctor's requisition? Our nurse can come to you to perform the culture.
- Don't have a requisition? No problem. Our Nurse Practitioners can consult with you and provide one if clinically necessary.

With a requisition, our strep culture service allows for a more comprehensive analysis of the bacteria. A culture involves collecting a sample from your throat, which is then sent to a laboratory for further examination. This method helps identify the specific strain of streptococcus and provides valuable information for targeted treatment.
